A Few Words About Paul
Hi, I’m Paul Cho — a Canadian CPA with over 10 years of real-world experience across the nonprofit, private, investment, and real estate development sectors.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with organizations of all sizes — from mission-driven nonprofits to venture capital-backed startups, from real estate development projects to corporate enterprises.
Across every industry, one truth has remained constant: leaders succeed not just by working hard, but by making wise financial decisions.
That’s why I founded PaulChoCPA — to empower business owners, nonprofit leaders, executives, and investors with the financial clarity they need to lead with confidence and purpose.
I understand firsthand the challenges of managing cash flow, building budgets, interpreting financial reports, and making strategic financial decisions — not just for better operations, but for better leadership, management, and smarter investments.
Today, my mission is to make finance practical, understandable, and empowering — not intimidating.
Whether you are scaling a business, leading a nonprofit, managing a major project, or building an investment portfolio, I’m here to help you make better financial decisions — so you can focus on doing what you do best.

Professional Background
2017-Present
Financial Consultant & Controller
Montage Development Consultants
Vancouver, BC

At Montage, I developed detailed financial models for project feasibility analysis, managed controller responsibilities for real estate development and retrofit projects, and implemented streamlined accounting processes to ensure seamless execution among consultants, clients, and contractors.
Montage’s mission is to drive excellence in the real estate sector — across nonprofit, market, and institutional projects — helping build homes faster, better, and with less risk.
2022-May 2024
At Calixtone Capital, I served as CFO for a venture capital firm investing in high-potential startups committed to sustainable, long-term growth.
I analyzed startup companies for financial viability and strategic alignment with flourishing markets, advising them on achieving global market penetration through investment strategies including IPOs, RTOs, and M&A transactions.
Calixtone’s mission is to invest ambitiously and sustainably, creating lasting value for all generations.
2018-2022
At More Than A Roof, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness through transformative affordable housing, I enhanced the organization’s accounting systems and internal controls.
By improving real-time financial reporting — including budget versus actuals and KPI tracking — I helped leadership set strategic priorities for long-term growth.
I also prepared financial models for major development projects, equipping executive leadership with the financial insights needed to make critical real estate investment decisions.
